O Christmas Tea { GIVEAWAY }

211 O Christmas Tea { GIVEAWAY }

Giveaway#4 is LIVE! Remember I had said that I wanted to host one more giveaway before the year ended… Well, it didn’t honestly seem likely or possible. Abandoned hope of sorts, and then a cheerful connoisseur of trunks of tea in the form of Snigdha Manchanda came a-knockin’! Christmas miracle, y’all. Okay, chitter-chatter aside – I am very excited to be giving away this box of tea. Part of a Limited Edition range by Tea Trunk; Mulled Spiced Tea combines the classic flavours of Christmas (That would be cinnamon, star anise and clove, accented by hearty apple, orange and cherry notes… Teas really are a lot like fragrances!), and sports a package coat designed by none other than (one of my favourite illustrators of all time… ) ALICIA SOUZA! Wowza.

Reminiscent of a rich, indulgent plum cake, I could not think of a better giveaway for this time of the year. This tea is inspired by mulled wine, and is made with whole leaf black Assam tea. Snigdha suggests drinking it as is, or adding in a splash of dark rum (Don’t mind if I do!)… Would it not be lovely sipping it as you sit by an open window at home on Christmas day, and while some of your folks are sleeping, you are happily reading a copy of Little Women (Okay, I am too excited!)… And now, the steps.

What’s in the Box?

1. Christmas tea! The BOX of Mulled Spiced Tea is what you are going to win, oh sweet reader. I believe it would be perfect for all of you tea drinkers out there, more so if you love Christmas just as much as I do.

2. Favourite feature? Snigdha was gracious enough to sponsor this box of tea for the giveaway; and, also, the illustrations created by Alicia are reason enough for me. (They are so adohreebal!)

Rules?

The rules are simple! (This giveaway is for Indian residents, only.)

1. Comment here on what excites you about/why you would like to win this delightful tin of tea.
2. Follow Tea Trunk on both Facebook & Instagram; this is not optional either. :-)

(Brownie points will be awarded to you if you are to ‘Like’ my page on Facebook, and/or follow me on Instagram.)

What happens after?

I’ll choose ONE winner in exactly four days, from now – save the date – December 14 is when this contest comes to a close! As soon as I announce the winner – which will either be on my Facebook or Instagram page (and through an e-mail, perhaps) – please write back to me with your postal address and phone number right away. (Will share the contact details with Snigdha who will directly post the tin of tea across to you, then.)

The “Fourth Year of Festivities” remains yours for the taking! Giveaway-gift-makin’.

{ Tea Trunk is a tea label founded by Snigdha Manchanda, a certified Tea Sommelier; she specialises in creating hand-blended teas. She can perhaps create a blend for you if you request for one, I would want a birthday tea complete with colourful sprinkles, if ever… Would that not be exciting? The packaging is so adorable, that the tins can be used as memento boxes for use, after consumption of the tea. I still have mine from last year! }

  1. I would like to win this tea because it’s Christmas! It is the season of joy and merriment! What better way to celebrate that than sitting at home on a cold morning and drinking the Christmas Cheer in a cup. :)
    Also, it kinda has all my favorite flavours – apple, orange and chrry and illustrations from my favorite illustrator Alicia Souza. Isn’t she the best!
    Hope I win!
    Love,
    Priyanka

  3. I’m crossing my fingers and toes for this giveaway.
    One, because I’m complete tea- addict; masala, green, oolong, mint, chamomile…give me any tea at any time of the day and I’m game. I’m forever concocting my own flavours as well.
    Two, because it’s so Chritmassy, from the notes in the tea to the ever so fuzzy packaging and wonderful illustrations by Alicia :-)
    Three, because it’s my birthday month and this will make me oh so happy!

    Love and Christmas cheer to all! ♥

  4. I’ve had a passion for teas since I was about 4 years old.
    I would spend my evenings picking fragrant leaves from my garden, and combining them to make tisanes that the adults were wary to try but were often pleasantly surprised!
    Today I absolutely relish my teas, they are the highlight of my day! Whether I’m concocting my own blend, or enjoying a fine tea, I’m on heaven.
    Tea is what excites me!!!
    Aside from this, of course Christmas is only my favorite time of the year! So much flavor and joy and spice!
    I am super excited to try the Christmas tea blend from Tea Trunk because I absolutely love Tea Trunk’s flavor profiles and nothing would make me happier than to try this!!!!

    To brew a pot of this in my favorite teapot and share a cup of divine tea with my mother (who is also passionate about tea) would be the perfect way to celebrate the joy that Christmas is all about!!!

    Plus, literally my favorite flavors and one of my very favorite illustrators teamed up?! What more could one wish for??

  5. I’ve tried the Vanilla black tea by Tea Trunk and it was so amazing! When I think about Christmas, I imagine sitting by the window with a cup of spiced tea in my hands and reading a book (I’m always reading-this month I’ve been reading one book every day!) and it’s my birthday month as well! Funny how you’re giving away tea- I’ve been drinking loads of tea this month- cranberry apple, chamomile, mint! I know it’s not getting very cold here in Mumbai but that’s no reason for us not to enjoy Christmas! I’ve been having tea in my little Christmas tea mug and also have bought the Bath & Body works Vanilla Bean Noel shower gel. (It smells just like Christmas, yummy!). This tea sounds divine & I hope I win! *fingers crossed*

  6. The moment I heard mulled spiced tea, I died, I want. its all I can say. How can one not want Spiced tea. I’m in Delhi, it’s cold, it’s nearing christmas, I miss my home and am nostalgic. GIVE ME TEA ALREADY!
    P.S. I love tea, did I mentioned that earlier?

  7. Omg… I just hope against hope I win this giveaway. My love for tea has been recent and I have been trying so hard to find new exciting flavours and the mulled spice tea sounds just amazing!! Plus it has been packaged in such an adorable tin (to die for)… I think that the packaging is enough a reason to want to win this giveaway… :) thanks for the opportunity!

  8. Hello!

    I keeping my fingers crossed as I write this. Well, there are a zillion reasons why we all want to win this but these 3 stand out!

    1. I really really really life for fragrances. Believe you me or check out an entire blog that I have dedicated to this obsession (ladysulis.wordpress.com)

    2. I am not drinking this season and only a tea as awesome as this can be an alternative to give that high.

    3. I promise to break my December resolution of not drinking and add a splash of Old Monk to stay true to the tea and my name ‘Rum’a.

  9. I host tea ceremonies and organise tea-food pairings within my group of friends for get togethers and get to learn the ‘Art of Tea’.
    Too inspired by this saying:
    “If you are cold, tea will warm you. If you are too heated, it will cool you. If you are depressed, it will cheer you. If you are excited, it will calm you”. – William Ewart Gladstone (1865).
    The mulled spiced tea seems like a makeover with an assortment of flavours and richer concoctions to any tea. I can’t imagine a cold, wet, interminably grey winter without the comfort of hot tea with mulling spices. I can imagine: when it snows in the cold countries , this daily ritual would make an almost magical significance. I love the smell of aromatic spices in the house. I love inhaling warm wafts of spicy goodness while cradling a cup of hot tea in both hands. Would be a good way to feel blessed by the Spirit of Christmas.
    This is what excites me to win this delightful tea tin of tea , the design on the tin is too sophisticated and conceptualised.

  10. During the colder months, there’s nothing more warm and inviting than mulled spiced beverages. This tin will delight my family and guests while creating wonderful aromas in my home. Mulled spiced tea is usually closely associated with the festivities of the Christmas season. I am soon planning to invite a few friends over for tea and nibbles this holiday season, infusing this tea with the heady blend of spices will make us all cheer up. Its like Christmas in a cup. This is the republic of all the teas I have ever come across by Tea Trunk. The illustrations on the tin will make me preserve the tin till long and will be an exotic gift by Santa (tea trunk). Thats why I am so excited to win it. Also, I am going to try something new by having these exotic mulled spiced tea shots with my friends.

  11. DID someone say a TIN BOX? With TEA?
    I pledged my allegiance to tea 3 years back . You don’t know what tin boxes with amazing illustrations mean to me and the tea of course. When I came across the giveaway I was super psyched . The thing that excites me the most are the little things. My day is always comprised of a cup or a small bowl of tea which is made with variant components so that when I drink I know ‘I’m the Doctor and the world is my Tardis’ .(I’m going to stop ). Youre giving away CHRISTMAS IN A BOX which is a synonym for sorted for life. The mulled spice tea makes me want to teleport back in time to the 18th Century where at my tea soiree I’d brag about Alicia S’ouzas behavioral artistic work and Mulled spice tea being ahead of it’s time.(Teehee) Oh and I would LOVE LOVE to win what you have to offer because slowly but steadily I’m starting to build a tea collection . This would be an excellent addition . :D

  12. I began experimenting with teas this year and by mentioning Christmas-y spices and Alicia, you had me hooked. While the giveaway is closed and I am whip-lashing myself for missing it (I haven’t been reading/writing anything lately), I’d follow you on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected. 😚
