For the Love of Fonts

115 For the Love of Fonts

Oh yay, it’s time for another feature presentation on Jupiter Skye called For the Love of Fonts! You know me, when it comes to lettering types, there are always new fonts to fall in love with. These are a few that I downloaded recently, and those that I’m certain to use in my future blog posts. But before I reveal them, there are a few delightful mentions to be made: Magali sent me the Jacques & Gilles font (for which I’m so thankful; it really is lovely to stencil on to envelopes when addressing letters to your pen friends perhaps), and Learning Curve Pro is one distinct font that you might remember from Vineeta Nair’s (of Artnlight fame) beautiful picture layouts.

  1. Hey, I like to play around with fonts too…I would usually go for a Prestige Elite Std but im digging the Jacques & Gilles font as well! Also I think you might like the Peaches n Regalia by imagex and old movie by Leonard Posavec (it has the horror movie feel to it)

    1. OOOH, Val, really! I never knew you had a thing for fonts and lettering types as well. And I checked out both Peaches en Regalia (I like the playfulness of the design) and Old Movie (it does look creepy though) but I usually am drawn toward beautiful scripts and typewriter types. :-)

  2. Great post! I love all the inscription fonts (especially Jacques & Gilles). I really hope my calligraphy starts looking more like this font. Until then, stenciling is such a neat idea!

  3. Great post! I’m in love with Jacques & Gilles!!! Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the font? Thanks in advance. =)
